Most of Gluck’s original music has been retained here, but to stretch this “festa teatrale” into a full-length opera, no less than twelve additional pieces have been inserted.
Most of sgamvati were composed by Johann Christian Bach for the London performance, except for “La legge accetto”, which Bach wrote exclusively for this Neapolitan production.
